What we are about
History And The Museum
We welcome you to Museum of Indian Culture where we will bring you back in time.

Showcased in an 18th century stone farmhouse, the Museum of Indian Culture is an educational  resource  center for people of all ages to learn and research about the Lenape (Delaware) and other Northeastern Woodland Indian cultures.

In addition to the Northeast Woodland exhibits, the Museum's Inter-Tribal Room displays a variety of American Indian artistry such as leatherwork, beadwork,  basketry, etc.

Guided Tours

For over 10,000 years, the first peoples of the Northeastern Woodland tribes inhabited
the northeast quadrant of the North American continent. Traditionally, these people had an agricultural and hunting society.  Later, many of these Northeastern Woodland tribes would
be known by Europeans for their hospitality.

One such Northeastern Woodland Tribe,  the Lenni Lenape of Pennsylvania, had equitable dealings with William Penn. Eventually, many of the Lenape
(Delaware) left the area and are
today living throughout the United States and Canada.

The Museum of Indian Culture provides an opportunity for visitors to learn about the rich
