Run from whereverwhenever, with whoever you want. Achieve your health goals on your own terms, have fun, and feel good knowing you're supporting the Museum of Indian Culture!

The Museum of Indian Culture was looking forward to hosting our 40th annual Roasting Ears of Corn Festival this year, but unfortunately we had to cancel this beloved public event due to the complications of the coronavirus. However, COVID-19 isn’t stopping us from celebrating this community tradition in another fashion!

Instead of our traditional festival, this year we are hosting a Roasting Ears of Corn-Tine 5K run you can complete in your own time, from the comfort and safety of your own home, or your favorite trail or by the museum! There’s no official course, you run on your own terms, and you will receive some cool stuff based on the donation level you register at. Better yet, this whole event is built upon the honor system, so if you never actually run, we’ll never even know! We will appreciate your registration donation no matter how you actually choose to participate in the run, which will help us make sure that we can bring back our festival next year when it’s safe to do so.

Registration is open now and will run through the end of September. Simply sign up using the registration form below, and select a donation level corresponding to the items you'd like to receive. Submit your form and you will be redirected to a payment page.

  $10 = Corn-Tine 5K magnet

$25 = Corn-Tine 5K medal

            $45 = magnet, medal, and T-Shirt!

After registration closes, we’ll be reaching out to you via email with updates on                                        how to submit your running achievements to us, and when you can                                                                 expect your items to be ready for pick up or shipping.

Keep us in the loop with your 5K journey by sharing on our social media the fun and corny ways that you stayed active with your friends and family. These posts could include examples of running with corn, a ‘corny’ relay race with your family, or dancing the route. We look forward to seeing and sharing your festive activities, and the museum’s staff will choose a favorite to receive a special gift!

So don’t delay and sign up today for the CORN-TINE 5K! Be sure to check our website and social media pages regularly during this event for updates on our leaderboard. We hope to share many photos and achievements of our community participants.

The museum has experienced a severe loss of income due to the closures and cancellation of our festival. All proceeds from this 5K event will be essential for the museum to survive and bring the Roasting Ears of Corn Festival back bigger and better in 2021.
