Clair A. Carbonell
Native American Research Library
Our on-site Clair A. Carbonell Research Library is over 3,000 books strong. It is the largest library collection in Pennsylvania solely dedicated to Native American studies. Our collection includes both contemporary and historical non-fiction books, pamphlets, and photography about various tribes throughout the Western hemisphere. We have informational texts on various related subjects including food, plants and herbs, archaeology, regional American history, treaties, arts and crafts, and language. We also have smaller collections of contemporary Native American fiction, folklore, and children's books. We are currently in the process of creating a dedicated Lenape section of our library.

We do not lend out our books, but access to the library is free and open to the public during regular museum hours. We hope to have an online catalog available soon.
